UNCOMMON KIDS

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY AT UNCOMMON CHURCH

At Uncommon, we believe that children need to have their own faith, and their own relationship with God and with their peers. That is why every Saturday night all children (babies through 5th grade) will experience a safe, age-appropriate environment where the Bible is taught in a creative and engaging way.

We would love to see you and your family at Uncommon this Saturday. Join the fun and experience a place where kids meet Jesus on their level!

YOUR FIRST VISIT

When you enter the church, look for our Children’s Ministry check-in station. There we will meet your family, check your child into our database system, and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

We will ask for the following personal information: family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

HOW CHECK-IN WORKS

You may check-in your child at the Children’s Ministry station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

What we value

Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Relationships

We value children’s relationships within our small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending service each week, children will see familiar faces and relationships can grow.

Age-Appropriateness

Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. We are so passionate about kids learning this way that we ask that you do not bring them into the service designed for adults and students 6th grade and older.

Safety

Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check.

Fun!

Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and more.
